Looking at the big clear sky, today is suitable to take a walk, and so I asked Alkaid to meet me by the street for a date. The bustling crowd, lively vendors, flickering lights and ascending music — All of it are colourful and lively.
🦌: Look over there, do you want to eat tanghulu? I excitedly shout in agreement, then Alkaid dragged me through the crowd, and went to the granny leaning on the side of the tanghulu straw stand. The simple brown syrup hanging on the plump mountains hawthorns, the translucent red tanghulu seems more alluring than ever. Alkaid paid, removing a stick from the stand. With both hands I grabbed Alkaid’s hands and took a bite of the tanghulu. Suddenly not far ahead we heard a crowd of people, following the source of the noise up ahead, a group of teenager gathers around a claw machine.
🦌: Do you wanna play? I nod my head, biting the tanghulu carelessly and mumble incoherently. 🖌️: I haven’t played in so long, I also don’t know if I can grab one or not

When Alkaid and I are together, I always doubt who intentionally pressed the fast forward button.
Clearly I felt that it haven’t been that long, but the sky already turned dark.
We carried our prizes for the day, also neither of us were willing to speak first. If I think of wanting to leave, the mood will be ruined. Finally Alkaid’s voice broke this silence with a smile.
🦌: Look over there. Following where his finger pointed, stopping not far off the shade of the trees are is a row of public bicycles. 🖌️: What is it? 🦌: I was only thinking of when I was in high school, I would join my cycling club friends to participate in cycling competitions… 🦌: Although it sounds like I’m bragging a bit, but I also obtained a few medals. Alkaid pushed a bike with a back seat out, under the pale yellow street lamps he extended his hand to me, a carefree smile like he returned to his young high school days. 🦌: So this junior, do you want to hitch a ride with your senior? Not waiting for him to invite me again, I already jumped onto the bike, and skillfully embraced his waist.
The late night sky always appears to be especially far, below the stars and the moon we are also microscopic. Alkaid’s white clothes blew in the night wind, I held onto the accessory he took off, burying my face in this moonlight*, the scent that only belongs to Alkaid exudes reassurance The street lamps continued to sweep past us one by one, I sat on the back seat cheerfully swinging my legs, in my eyes only I hoped there is no end in sight. — Its just simply like this night is made for us.
By the time we reached home. Alkaid approached me and lightly embraced me. Everything around me suddenly became blank, only Alkaid’s figure is warm and clear.
🦌: It’s time to say see you again for real now. 🦌: See you tomorrow, MC.
I stood at the entrance as my eyes send Alkaid off, looking at his figure gradually melt into the night.
See you tomorrow, Alkaid.
